I have a passion for child and adolescent mental health and have worked in various areas of psychiatry during my 12 years as a board certified psychiatric nurse and nurse practitioner. As a board certified psychiatric nurse, I saw many children misdiagnosed and over medicated. I decided that I could be a better advocate for child and adolescent mental health as an advanced practice provider so I became a nurse practitioner.
I have experience working with ADHD, behavior disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and psychosis among many others.
I believe it is important to teach children the skills they need to process through their difficulties so they can become well adjusted and productive adults.

Hi there! I’m Brandi, and I’m passionate about supporting children through their unique journeys of emotional growth. I have a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.) and a Master’s in School Counseling, as well as an LGPC certification. With over 21 years of experience in education, educational leadership and counseling, I’ve had the joy of working with kids of all ages, but lately, I’ve been focusing on elementary-aged children.
My approach is all about helping children build skills to manage their emotions, get along with their peers, and navigate the ups and downs of school life. I use a mix of methods, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and fun activities that help kids express themselves. Every child is different, so I tailor the support to meet their needs and make sure they feel comfortable and understood.
I’ve worked with students from ages 5 to 18. I love how many of the techniques I use translate really well into virtual therapy—things like behavior tracking, social stories, and mindfulness exercises can be done in the comfort of home, making therapy flexible and easy to access for families with busy schedules. Building trust is key, especially in virtual settings, so I like to use creative ways to connect—journaling, storytelling, drawing, and interactive games help kids open up and share what’s on their minds. Parents are such an important part of this process, too! I work closely with them, ensuring they feel supported and involved while respecting their child’s privacy.
I’ve always known that working with children was my calling. They inspire me with their resilience and their ability to bounce back from challenges. It’s truly an honor to walk alongside them as they grow and learn.
